چکیده
Lipid-related traits are important candidates for a breeding goal gilthead seabream, because they affect both fish and human health, as well production efficiency. However, to date there have been very few estimates of genetic parameters these traits, the relationship between fatty acids other never reported seabream. Therefore, aim this study was estimate genomic heritability relationships fat deposition individual muscle in commercial population seabream using novel ~30 k MedFish SNP array. In total 967 fed with feed were genotyped chip which included K informative markers species. On average, weighed 372 g. The mean content eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) + docosahexaenoic (DHA) 822 mg per 100 g fillet. fat, viscera weight percentage range 0.34–0.46. correlation body 0.12, indicating that variation is largely independent fish. product endogenous synthesis (n = 240), palmitoleic (16:1n-7), high (0.43). estimated EPA (%) DHA 0.39 0.33, respectively. Both had low, non-significant correlations weight, negative (−0.53). It possible increase fillets by selective breeding. 16:1n-7, marker de novo lipogenesis, suggests strong component metabolic pathway Muscle seem be faster growth not likely influence proportional DHA.

متن کاملModulation of ACTH-induced cortisol release by polyunsaturated fatty acids in interrenal cells from gilthead seabream, Sparus aurata.
Highly unsaturated fatty acids are essential components of cellular membranes of vertebrates and can modulate physiological processes, including membrane transport, receptor function and enzymatic activities. In gilthead sea bream, dietary deficiencies of essential fatty acids of marine fish raise the basal cortisol levels and alter the pattern of cortisol release after stress. The aim of the p...
متن کاملA role for acidophilic granulocytes in the testis of the gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata L., Teleostei).
In mammals, a complex interaction between the immune and the reproductive systems has been described, in which testicular immune cells produce cytokines and growth factors which modulate gonad functions, while specific gonad cells influence the immune response in this organ. In this study we describe the presence of acidophilic granulocytes in the testis of the hermaphrodite teleost fish gilthe...

Ž . The performance of microdiets MDs for larvae of marine fish is frequently improved when they are co-fed with Artemia. This suggests that nutritional factors in the live food are positively influencing the ingestion, digestion and assimilation of the MD. This paper reviews recent advances in MD development on the gilthead seabream with special emphasis on studies that isolated, identified an...
